Junior Membership This is a $25 membership that is good from March 2006 thru Feb. 2007, available for those 5-16 years old. This gives the junior member a discount on green fees whenever they play golf. The junior member will only pay $2 per round of golf with a membership; this does not include a pull cart or motorized cart (you may rent a cart only if you have a driver's license). This membership will also give you discounted rates on junior lessons and many of our junior activities for the year. This rate will not apply to any tournaments.

Junior Lessons This year, like in the past few years, we will have 3 sessions for different levels of learning. We will start lessons on Tuesday, June 5th and continue for 8 weeks. The advanced group will be from 8am-9am, the intermediate group will be from 9am-10am, and the beginner group from 10am-11am. Please call the clubhouse and ask for Diane for more information on which group your jumior will be assigned. The cost is $70 per junior. This will include instruction, etiquette, rules, as well as a number of prizes. We will hand out a schedule of activities as the juniors are signing up for the lessons.

Junior League We will continue to have league play after lessons on Tuesdays at 11:30am. This league is a team event and the teams will be chosen randomly each week. You will be given points based on participation, specialty holes, and ranking for the day. The top 3 winners (those with the most points) will be given a prize at the end of the season. The cost for the league is $2 per day which will pay for prizes and green fees. We will begin play on June 69th at 11:30 am. Play should be over by 1:30pm-2:00pm.

Junior Challenge Day This is a new program that we are beginning this year. We will meet on Mondays at 10am and play 9 holes. This will be individual play. There will be a challenge ladder, match play events, and handicap events. We will be offering the juniors, thanks to the KCGA, a FREE junior handicap system this season. Please see Diane for more details. You will need to have several 9 hole rounds turned in to get a handicap. You will need to start before league play begins. The challenge day will cost $2 if you are in the lessons or are a junior member, if not the fee is $5. This should be a lot of fun and give you an opportunity to see how you do against your fellow golfers.

We will have our tournament schedule out by May 1st. We will be sending out a schedule to you if we have your address; make sure that we have it so that you can put the dates down on your summer calendar.
